Bavleen creates history, wins 5 Individual gold medals in National School Games

JAMMU, Nov 16: Ace Gymnast of Jammu and Kashmir, Bavleen Kour created history by winning all 5 Individual gold medals in seniors category of the ongoing 65th National School Games (Gymnastics) held at Agra in Uttar Pradesh recently.
She was also declared All round best Gymnast in the event.
She won gold in Hoop, Ball, Ribbon, Clubs and All round finals event.
J&K Gymnasts won a total of 9 medals including 5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
State Awardee Bavleen Kour has earlier also made J&K proud by winning 3 gold and 2 silver medals during the last edition of Khelo India National Games at Pune in Maharashtra.
The team comprised of Bavleen, Vandhana, Tawishi Singh and Sneha Dewan secured silver medal in the Team Championships event of Seniors category. Maharashtra clinched gold, while Delhi secured bronze medal.
After clinching heights, breaking the milestones and showcasing an outstanding performance at the 65th National School Games, till now four girl Gymnasts from J&K namely Bavleen, Vandhana , Tawishi Singh and Sneha Dewan have been selected for the upcoming prestigious Khelo India Youth Games-2020 at Gymnastics from 10 to 22 January, 2020.
Another J&K Gymnast, Muskan Rana also won 2 Bronze individual medals including 1 Silver along with her team mates Vaibhavi Sharna, Janeiro Thakur & Himani Gupta in Team Championships of under 14 yrs category.
Bavleen has dedicated this National record of winning 5 gold medals to her Coaches specially Arjuna Awardee Krupali Patel Singh.
President J&K Gymnastics Association Kiran Wattal also lavished praise for Bavleen for this landmark achievement.
