SRINAGAR, July 19: Defeating Friends Hockey Club in a close contest via tie-breaker, Badal Hockey Club sealed berth in the semifinals of the ongoing Hockey tournament, being organised by Hockey J&K at Gindun Stadium, Rajbagh, here.
Goalkeeper of the winning team Jaspreet Singh was the star performer, who displayed extraordinary hockey skills and guided his team to the semifinals.
Meanwhile, the players were not satisfied with the arrangements made by the organisers in connection with water and allied facilities at the venue.
They said that during halftime they were not provided with water and it was only after their protest the organisers provided the same.
