JAMMU, May 26: Former left-arm spinner and Ranji trophy skipper, Ashinder Kaul has been elected chairman Senior Selection Committee, while experienced Ranjeet Kalra has been retained as chairman media committee and chairman Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), Arvinder Singh Micky has been nominated chairman finance committee in the list of sub-committees framed by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, approved by its president, Dr Farooq Abdullah, today.
The senior selection committee, apart from Ashinder included Abdul Qayoom Khan, Asif Peerzada, Vinod Sharma and Shahid as the members, while the media committee apart from its chairman included Rajesh Dhar, Shahana Fatima and Vivek Sharma as its members.
The finance committee headed by Mr Micky also includes general secretary ML Nehru, GM Bhat, Rahul Bharti and SK Tickoo.
The selectors named for Under-25 group included Kavaljit Singh, Randhir Singh Jamwal, Sheikh Sajjad and Parvees Kachroo, while the selectors for Under-19 team are Huwaid Ronga, Imtiyaz Ahmed, Surjeet Singh and Randhir Singh, with Ashok Dutta as chairman.
The Under-16 selection committee comprised of Parvez Wani, Muzaffar Jan, Sudershan Bali and Basant Singh Jamwal, while for Under-14 boys, the committee included Rakesh Kaul, Naseer Ahmed Bhat, Bansi Lal and Rajesh Tandon.
Meanwhile, Rahul Bharti will head Legal Affairs sub-committee, with Parveen Kapahi, KB Kaw, Molvi Ajaz, Imtiaz Zargar and Ravinder Singh as members.
The Constitution review/rules sub-committee included CL Chrangoo as chairman, and Rahul Bharti, Saleem Khan, Romesh Mahajan and Parveen Kapahi as members, while disciplinary sub-committee will be headed by Jang Bahadur as chairman, with Idrees Gandroo, Sudershan Mehta, Vivek Sharma and Satinder Singh as members.
Arvinder Singh Micky was also named chairman of Jammu Infrastructure development sub-committee, with Ashutosh Sharma, Nitin Rastogi, Rakesh Kumar, Dhian Singh Bhau, Anil Khajuria and Director General Youth Services and Sports as members, while Kashmir infrastructure development sub-committee included Mr Micky as chairman, with representatives from AS College and Kashmir University, Idrees Gundroo, Nazir Magray, Moulvi Ajaz and representative from SP College as members.
The JKCA Central purchase sub committee included GM Bhat as chairman, Mehboob-ul-Hassan, Parveen Kapahi, Ravinder Singh, Rajive Pandita and Sami Naqash as members.
