Army organized T20 Cricket Tourney commences

PULWAMA, July 31: In a significant initiative to foster youth engagement and promote unity through sports, the Indian Army’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a T20 Cricket Tournament in Pulwama under the theme “Bat for Brotherhood.”
The grand inaugural match was played at the Pulwama Sports Stadium between Friends 11 Pulwama and All Rounders Ratnipora. Batting first, All Rounders Ratnipora set a target of 114 runs. In a thrilling chase marked by determination and teamwork, Friends 11 Pulwama clinched victory, marking a spirited start to the tournament.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 64 teams across Pulwama district. The opening match was attended by Col Devan Sood and other officers of the 55 RR, alongside social activists, religious scholars and a large gathering of college students. Spectators lauded the professionalism, sportsmanship and energetic performance displayed by the players.
