APS Samba holds Annual Sports Day

JAMMU, Nov 22: Army Public School, Samba held its Annual Sports Day today with enthusiasm and high energy, transforming the school ground into a hub of athletic fervour. The event commenced with a warm welcome for the chief guest and a melodious welcome song by the students.
The chief guest, Chairman APS Samba, declared the meet open by releasing white pigeons, symbolising peace, hope, and sportsmanship. Athletes then took the sports oath, pledging integrity, discipline, and excellence.
The day featured a thrilling lineup of track and field events, including 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m races, Three-Legged Race, Skipping Race, 4×100 Relay and Slow Cycling, showcasing the students’ agility, teamwork, and determination. Cultural performances like Bhartiyam (VI-VIII), Bhangra (IX-XI) and Sword Dance (VII-IX) added vibrancy. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and the national anthem, celebrating talent, effort and sportsmanship.
