JAMMU, Nov 20: Army Public School Rakhmuthi celebrated its Annual Sports Day 2025–26 with great zeal under the theme “Viksit Bharat – Sapna Nahi Sankalp.” The Chairman APS Rakhmuthi and the First Lady graced the occasion as chief guests, motivating students to embrace discipline and national pride.
The programme began with Principal Shaswati Ghosh presenting the annual report, followed by the lighting of the torch, march past and oath ceremony. A vibrant opening dance by Classes I–III set an enthusiastic start to the event.
Athletic highlights included the 100 m, 200 m and 400 m races, along with junior fun events like the Duck Walk, Packing the School Bag and Balloon Balancing races. Yoga, Pyramid Formation, Waves in Harmony drill and a dynamic Karate Demonstration showcased teamwork and agility.
Vidyanjali students from Government Primary School, Dhanger Kaleeth, joined the Lemon-and-Spoon Race, promoting inclusivity. The cultural tableau “Vibrant Hues of Culture – A Unified Viksit Bharat” added patriotic flavour. The event concluded with prize distribution and the National Anthem.
