JAMMU, Jan 21: Army Public School Damana hosted a vibrant felicitation ceremony, here today, recognizing the remarkable achievements of students and faculty. The event was graced by the chief guest, Commander Chenab Brigade and Chairman APS Damana, alongside Lt Col RS Slathia, SO School, Principal Pushpinder Kaur, Vice Principal Shallu Kapoor, Commanding Officers, and a large gathering of parents.
The ceremony began with a welcome by Vice Head Boy Naman Katoch (XI B) and Vice Head Girl Gaytri Singh (XI C), followed by the lighting of a divine lamp. Students who excelled in academics, including CBSE Board Toppers, received cash incentives and trophies. Sports achievers at the national, command and district levels, as well as winners of inter-school competitions, were similarly recognized.
A musical performance, “Symphonic Spectrum,” by Sunny Kumar, TGT Music, and the school’s talented students, was a highlight. Additionally, teachers who contributed to the school’s success were honoured, including Sukriti Giri, TGT Computer Science, for receiving the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card.
Dr. Hargobind Khorana House, led by House Incharge Jyoti Raina and House Captain Vanshika Sharma (XII B), was declared the Champion House of the Year, further inspiring the students’ relentless commitment.
