APS BD Bari lifts CBSE Cluster XVIII Volleyball Tournament title

JAMMU, Oct 1: Army Public School (APS) BD Bari defeated Major Ajaib Singh Convent School and lifted the title trophy of the CBSE Cluster XVIII Volleyball U-17 Girls Tournament, which was held at Faridkote in Punjab.
In first set, APS BD Bari defeated Major Ajaib Singh Convent School by 25:18, whereas in the second set, Major Ajaib Singh Convent School defeated APS BD Bari by 28:26. In third set, APS BD Bari defeated Major Ajaib Singh Convent School by 25:11 and was declared winner.
It was really proud moment for J&K that for the very first time one of its school won the CBSE Cluster Tournament.
The team has been further selected for playing CBSE National Volleyball Competition to be held at Barwani, Madhya Pradesh.
Twelve teams from J&K, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana participated in the tournament.
Playing fair and showing true sportsmanship, all the school teams gave a tough competition to each other.
The motive of organising such sports events in the schools is to provide an extraordinary platform to the budding players to showcase their talent and hone their skills so that they can make their career in sports.
