JAMMU, Feb 20: Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Function ‘Atelier’ was organized by GLS Public School with great gusto and vehemence at Police Auditorium, here.
The occasion was graced by respected parents and family members of the students along with other dignitaries.
The function started with traditional ceremony of lamp lighting by the chairman of the school, S Deep Singh and Karamjeet Kour, which was followed Ganesh Vandana followed by Gurbani Kirtan.
In this mega cultural function, about 200 students of the school exhibited their talent.
The programme was a bouquet of beautiful performances. Dance, group dance, fancy dress shows and skits were performed by the students of classes from Pre- Nursery to 10th.
Through their performances, the children spread the colours of love, brotherhood, patriotism and spirituality.
The function was presided over by the Administrator of the school, Gurpreet Singh. He presented the annual report of the School. He said that in academic session 2015-16, the school has introduced Volley Ball Court, Badminton Court, Table Tennis, Swimming & Trampoline along with many other new facilities for the students and highlighted the values of co-curricular activities for mental & physical growth of every child.
During prize distribution, the parents and the concerned teachers were called upon the stage to honour the meritorious students. The school honoured the position holders of Classes 8th and 10th in board exams and top 3 position holders in every other classes of the school.
