JAMMU, Feb 16: Amar Kotwal’s splendid half century and 2 wickets haul guided Singh Cricket Club (SCC) to register win over Vedant XI by a huge margin of 100 runs and lift Ravi Dass U-14 Cricket Cup, played at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, SCC scored 184 runs by losing 8 wickets in 25 overs. Amar Kotwal played a fantastic inning of 59 runs, while Neeraj Kumar and Vikas Sharma scored 25 runs each, Kaniya made 12 runs and Vansh chipped in 11 runs.
For Vedant XI, Divyansh, Vedant and Shobit shared 2 wickets each, while Amrit clinched 1 wicket.
In second inning, Vedant X1 failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 84 runs by losing all the wickets in 19 overs. Aryan Sharma was the top scorer with 26 runs, while Vedant chipped in 15 runs.
For SCC, Ritish, Paras Safaya and Amar Kotwal shared 2 wickets each, while Raghav Verma, Neeraj and Anmol clinched 1 wicket apiece.
Amar Kotwal was adjuged as man of the match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Dev Bhagel and Rupesh Kumar as umpires, while the scorecard was maintained by Akash.
The Ravi Dass U-14 Cup is being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor under the supervision of its President Sham Singh Langeh.
