Vidit to take on Abhishek in Senior Snooker final today

JAMMU, Nov 6: Vidit Gawri will take on Abhishek Pathania in the final of the Senior Snooker, being organized during the ongoing 27th Sub Junior, Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here tomorrow.
Earlier in the first semis, Vidit Gawri defeated Ishuk Choudhary by 3-1 frames and registered berth in the final, whereas in the second semifinal, Abhishek Pathania outplayed Sohail Khalid by 3-2 frames and entered the final.
Meanwhile, in the first round of Senior Billiards, Karan Mengi got walkover against Mandeep Singh, while Abhishek Pathania defeated Gurjeev Singh by straight 2-0 frames.
Mohit Mahajan outplayed Kashif Ahmed by 2-0 frames, Vidit Gawri registered win over Aman Sharma by 2-0 frames, Akash Gupta defeated Gurwinder Singh alias Deepu by 2-0 frames and Ishuk Choudhary defeated Vansh Gupta by 2-1 frames.
Vishal Abrol beat Karan Mengi by 2-0 frames and Nikhil Kapahi beat Jaideep Manocha by 2-0 frames.
However, Akash Gupta, Nikhil Kapahi and Vishal Abrol entered into the second round of Senior Billiards.
It is pertinent to mention here that 27th Sub Junior, Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship is being organized by J&K Billiards and Snooker Association under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
