JAMMU, Nov 19: Air Force School Jammu celebrated its Annual Day on theme ‘Sankalan’ at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
The central motive for the annual day function was “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” emphasizing the global unity of humanity. Senior officers of Air Force Station Jammu including Subedar Major Swaran Bal (Retd) and Praveen Kumari, the parents of Late Flight Lieutenant Adivitya Bal were present for bestowing the prestigious and most coveted ‘Flight Lieutenant Advitiya Bal Rolling Trophy’ to the student of the year.
The Annual Report was given by Shuchi Gupta, Principal, Air Force School Jammu in which the achievements in scholastic and co-scholastic activities were highlighted. This was followed by a colourful cultural program by the students. The audience was enthralled by the programme put on by the little angels wearing beautiful costumes who were looking very attractive and innocent while performing.
The highlight of the evening was the grand fusion of classical dance forms that seamlessly blended the grace of Bharatnatyam, the storytelling artistry of Kathak, and the elegance of the Fan Dance followed by the grand finale.
After cultural performances, the meritorious students were awarded with medals and prizes for their academic and other cultural and extra-curricular achievements. Tanushka Rakwal of batch 2022-23 became the initiatory winner of Flt Lt Advitiya Bal Rolling Trophy. The trophy along with a cash prize of Rupees five thousand was handed over by the parents of Late Flight Lieutenant Adivitya Bal. The function ended on a positive note with the vote of thanks given by Meenakshi Raina.
