ABVP organises Cricket match at Smailpur

SAMBA, Feb 14: ABVP organised a Cricket match in the memory of martyrs who laid down their lives in Pulwama attack at Smailpur Cricket Stadium, here today.
Narayan Singh, former president of Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha Seh-prabhari Samba district was the chief guest of the event, while Surinder Bhagat Chandigarh prabhari was guest of honour.
The guests of the event said that the sports tournament should continue among the youth for their physical and mental fitness and gave the message to avoid drugs.
Navjot Jasrotia, Vibhag Sheyojak ABVP Kathua-Samba and Anukul Bhagat, organising secretary ABVP Samba were also present during the event.
The match was played between the Vijaypur team and Samba Cricket Club team. The Vijaypur team scored 145 runs by losing 6 wickets, wherein Brij made 37 runs, while Shubham and Ravi scored 30 and 16 runs respectively. The Samba team bounded out at 143 runs and lost the match wherein Vansh made 40 runs and Sachin scored 30 runs.
Shubham Banotra was declared as man of the match who made 30 runs as well as clinched 2 wickets.
