KATHUA, Feb 19: ABC Montessori School, Kathua celebrated its Annual Day with great pomp and show here today.
The theme of the function was dowry, drugs, female foeticide, disrespect of parents and terrorism.
Managing Director of ABC Montessori School, Renu Sulekha presided over the function, while MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia was chief guest on this occasion.
The programme commenced with inaugural lamp lighting ceremony. Children from different classes performed theme based performances which include Rajasthan folk dance, skit on terrorism, comedy medley on Bollywood era’s on kids and devotional drama against social evils. These substantial performances by the tiny tots left the audience spell bound.The hall echoed with applauses seeing the outstanding performances one after the other.
Chief Guest in his address said that the learnings of childhood play a vital role in building the basics of education and knowledge.
He said that it is the work of the primary level teachers to build up the interest and concentration of the child in studies.
