DODA, Mar 23: Range level Volleyball Tournament 2019 under CAP was organized at Govt Degree College Doda by Doda Kishtwar Ramban Range Police Hqrs Batote, here.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Deputy Inspector General of Police Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, Bhim Sen Tuti IPS and Shabir Ahmed Malik SSP Doda. In this tournament 2 teams from District Ramban namely Ramban Tigers and Ramban Warrior, 2 teams from District Doda- Doda Warrior Sports Club Doda and Doda Daredevils and 2 teams from District Kishtwar namely Govt. Hr Secondary School Boys “A” and Govt. Hr Secondary School Boys “B” participated.
The 1st semifinal match was played between Doda Warriors and Ramban Warriors which was won by Ramban Warriors and second semifinal match was played between Ramban Tigers and Doda Daredevils which was won by Ramban Tigers.
The final match of the tournament was played between Ramban Warriors and Ramban Tigers which was won by Ramban Warriors.
The winner team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 15000 alongwith trophy, while a cash prize of Rs 10000 and trophy was awarded to runners-up team by the DIG besides certificates to all participants. A large number of college students and well as students of other Schools were present on the occasion to witnesses the event.
The main objective of organizing such events under CAP was to bridge the gap between Police and Public and to channelize the energy of youths towards sports and constructive activities.
On this occasion Addl. SP Ops Doda Ravinderpal Singh, SO to DIG DKR Range Shoket Ali, DySP Hqrs Doda Manoj Kumar, DySP DAR Doda Mansoor Ahmed and Principal Govt Degree College Doda were present on the occasion.
