Shaheed Major Rohit Sharma T-20 Cricket Tournament concludes

POONCH, June 18: Shaheed Major Rohit Sharma T-20 Cricket Tournament organized by Army and Shaheed Major Rohit Sharma Trust concluded at sports stadium, here.
The event saw an overwhelming response in which teams from Poonch, Surankote, Mendhar and Mandi participated. A total of 22 teams competed in this tournament.
On the concluding day, senior Army officers, Padamshri Shambhu Nath Khajuria, DC Poonch and SSP Poonch were present. The event commenced by paying solemn respect and wreath laying ceremony for the brave Shaheed Major Rohit Sharma, Shaurya Chakra (Posthumously) who attained martyrdom in 1998 while combating terrorists in Mandi Tehsil.
A cultural programme was performed by students of Army Goodwill School, Potha and Loran School, followed by performance by Army Pipe Band.
