Legal Star, Legal Riders enter semis of Lawyers Annual Sports Meet

JAMMU, Apr 10: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the quarterfinals, Legal Star and Legal Riders sealed berth in the semifinals of the ongoing Cricket Tournament as part of Lawyers Annual Sports Meet, being organized by J&K High Court Bar Association at Jammu University ground, here.
On the 3rd day of the Tournament today, the first match was played between Dabang XI and Great Warrior, in which Dabang XI after winning the toss chose to bat first and scored 147 runs in 12 overs.  Lokesh was the top scorer with 49 runs, while Akshay Koul scored 42 runs and AmarJeet contributed 33 runs. Deepak took 2 wickets, while Rohit Pandit and Dinesh claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Great Warriors were bundled out for 85 runs. Dinesh (28) was the highest scorers, while Pawan and Deepak chipped in with 10 runs each. Azhar Usman took 4 wickets and Jimmy claimed 3 wickets. Dabang XI won the match by 62 runs.
The second match was played between Legal Star and Clang Kings XI in which Legal Star after winning the toss chose to bat first and scored 136 runs in the quota of 12 overs. AP Singh was the highest scorer with 47 runs and Sami scored 24 runs, while Surinder Singh and Pranav Kohli also chipped in with 20 and 19 runs respectively. Sachin took 3 wickets, while Anil and Vikas took 1 wicket each.
Chasing the target, Clang Kings scored 102 runs. Sachin Sharma was the highest scorer with 42 runs, while Salil scored 20 runs. AP Singh and Frahan took 1 wicket each. Legal Star won the match by 35 runs.
The third match was played between Legal Riders and Avenger XI, in which Legal Rider after winning the toss chose to Bowled first and Avenger XI scored 106 runs in 12 overs.  Satish was the highest scorer with 43 runs, while Majid contributed 23 runs. Vikram took 3 wickets and Lovesh and Sarjeevan claimed 1 wicket each.
Legal Riders, in reply,  scored 108 runs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets.  Vikram Singh was the highest scorer with unbeaten 54 runs, while Bhanu Pratap Singh scored 38 runs while Rafakat and Tarez took 1 wicket each. Legal Rider won the match with 8 wickets.
