JAMMU, Dec 16: In order to develop scientific attitude amongst students and make them realize the interdependence of science, technology and society on each other Delhi Public School, Rajbagh, Kathua affiliated with Central Board of School Education (CBSE) participated in 14 CBSE science exhibition organized by KMV Sanskriti School, Jalandhar.
About 138 schools of North Zone participated in this exhibition wherein students had first-hand experience of different models of science.
The students of DPS, Rajbagh had participated with their model on Hydroelectric Power Projects in which they had prepared prototype of Dam, Reservoir, Turbines, Power House and Power Supply System. Students and faculty of other institutions appreciated the model and the footfall in the stall encouraged students to participate in next level exhibition. DPS, Rajbagh students Rageshwer Singh and Mrinal Mahajan under able guidance of Teacher Neha gave fine display of the project that remained centre of attraction for other students.
Various models displayed at the Science exhibition gave students an exciting experience of creativity and innovations enabling them to meet future socio-economic problems particularly those confronted in the rural areas, using available materials and local resources. On their return the Principal of the institution Mrs Nirmal Manha said that this exhibition helped children and teachers get motivation to design and develop something new and novel to meet future challenges.
