JAMMU, Dec 6: JP World School, Jammu, celebrated its much-awaited Annual Sports Day ‘ZENITH’ with tremendous enthusiasm and vibrant participation on the school grounds. The event began with a warm welcome to the chief guest Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council and Nirmal Kishore Kotwal, President J&K High Court Bar Association, in the presence of Principal Aparana Kohli.
In her address, Principal Kohli emphasized the importance of sports in ensuring the holistic development of students. She proudly acknowledged the school’s sportspersons who have excelled at national and international levels and advised students to stay away from mobile addiction and drugs, urging them to embrace sports for a healthier life. Chief guest Gul motivated the gathering by praising the school for offering a dynamic platform to young athletes and encouraged students to pursue sports with dedication and focus.
The programme began with a soulful Ganesh Vandana, followed by Marshal Light Round led by the Student Council and outstanding sportspersons. A traditional Pigeon Release symbolized peace and harmony. The impressive March Past, accompanied by the BSF Band and the four school houses, showcased discipline and competitive spirit.
Students from the primary wing captivated spectators with synchronized PT drills. Exciting track events and demonstrations of Wushu, Judo, Taekwondo, and Speedball further highlighted the skill and commitment of young athletes. The closing ceremony was graced by Brig (Retd), Anil Gupta Member Administration (JKCA).
