SRINAGAR, July 20: The Jammu & Kashmir Softball Association, in collaboration with the Softball Association of India and supported by the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, is set to host a National Softball Umpiring Clinic from July 29 to 31 in Srinagar. This prestigious event aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of softball umpires nationwide, fostering the growth and development of the sport in India.
The clinic will bring together over 150 umpires from various States, offering them a valuable platform to learn from experienced commissioners and instructors. Participants will engage in expert-led sessions, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions covering essential aspects of umpiring such as rules, regulations, and effective game management.
“This event will not only enhance the capabilities of participating umpires but also contribute to the overall growth of softball in Jammu & Kashmir and across India,” said Waseem Raja Khan, Secretary of the J&K Softball Association.
The clinic promises to be a comprehensive learning experience, promoting fair play and elevating umpiring standards at all levels of the sport.
