J&K Athletic Asso holds meeting to finalize upcoming events

JAMMU, June 1: The Jammu & Kashmir Athletic Association held an important meeting under the chairmanship of President Suneel Mahajan to finalize plans for upcoming athletic events, including the National Senior Athletic Meet, State Athletic Meet and meets across all 20 districts of the Union Territory.
Sharad Chander, Secretary of the Association, briefed the members on the event schedules and highlighted key aspects such as logistics, coordination and planning to ensure smooth execution. Discussions focused on finalizing event dates, selecting venues and deploying technical officials.
Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary of the Olympic Association of J&K, also attended the meeting and extended his full support and guidance for the successful conduct of these programmes. President Suneel Mahajan stressed the significance of these events in promoting sportsmanship and identifying talent across Jammu & Kashmir. “With the combined efforts of our team and support from national and state-level associations, we are committed to making these events a grand success,” he said.
The meeting was attended by key officials including Ravinder Singh Babi, Vice President; Nirmal Singh, Chairman of the Technical Committee; and Vinod Bhatia, President of the Jammu District Athletic Association.
