UDHAMPUR, May 20: The Zonal Level Inter School Handball trials for boys and girls under the age groups of U-14 and U-17 commenced at Mini Stadium, here today, under the overall supervision of Jyoti Rani, ZPEO Jib.
The event was officially inaugurated by Jyoti Rani along with the office staff. A total of 83 students from Seven Government and Private Schools of Zone Jib participated in the trials, showcasing great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
The trials aimed to select the best handball teams in each age group and category. Four top teams each from U-14 and U-17 boys and girls were shortlisted by the panel of technical officials including Ajay Sharma, Bandana Sharma, Rishi Sharma and Sourav Pandit.
Also present during the event were notable staff members Ajit Singh, Vinod Khajuria, Suresh Paul, Usha Rani, Kanta Devi and Satvir Singh, who ensured smooth conduct of the trials.
The selected teams will now represent Zone Jib at the district-level competitions, continuing their journey in the DYSS-organized inter-school sports programme aimed at promoting youth talent in the region.
