JAMMU, May 16: In the Annual General Body Meeting of the Cycling Association of Jammu and Kashmir (CAJK) held today at Press Club, Jammu, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn was elected as its President unanimously.
As per the handout issued, the election was conducted by Anshuja Tak, Advocate, who was appointed as the Returning Officer by the J&K Sports Council. Out of the Electoral College comprising executive committee members, district units, and sportspersons, 19 members participated physically and 12 virtually. The newly elected team was unanimously chosen, with Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn elected as President, Balvinder Singh and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat as Vice Presidents; Om Parkash Sharma as General Secretary; Tajinder Singh as Treasurer; and Rajesh Sharma and Mohd Akbar Khan as Joint Secretaries for Jammu and Kashmir, respectively.
Anshuja Tak congratulated the elected body and expressed confidence in their commitment to the physical and mental development of youth and the promotion of cycling in the region. Former President Ravinder Singh welcomed attendees and thanked the LG administration, J&K Sports Council, and Cycling Federation of India for their support. Dr. (Prof.) Ashutosh Sharma delivered the vote of thanks. The election was observed by Satvinder Singh Vicky from the Cycling Federation of India.
