Iranian Wrestler lifts Dangal title

REASI, Apr 21: Mohd. Mirza from Iran claimed the prestigious 43rd International Kundorian Arli (Katra) Annual Dangal Title 2025 by defeating Dharminder of Kohali (Amritsar, Punjab) in the main first malli bout. Mirza was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1, 50,000, while Dharminder, the runner-up, received Rs 1,00,000.
In another thrilling first malli bout, Dinesh Gullia from District Jhajjar (Haryana) emerged victorious against Ravi Vehra of Punjab, securing a cash prize of Rs. 1, 25,000, while Ravi received Rs. 75,000. In the second malli bout, Ram Dhan of Rohtak (Haryana) defeated Benia Min of J&K Police (Basantgarh, Udhampur), winning Rs 60,000, while Benia Min took home Rs 40,000.
The event, which featured 40 bouts, was attended by SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, who was the chief guest and awarded cash prizes totaling Rs 9, 50,000. Shiv Kumar Sharma, President of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, presided over the event. Other dignitaries included SDPO Katra Bhishm Dubey, SHO Katra Khyatimaan Khajuria, BDC Chander Mohan Singh and BDC Sham Lal.
The Dangal was organized by the Kundorian Arli (Katra) Dangal Committee, with active support from local public and officials such as Karnail Singh (President), Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Mangal Singh, Jugal Kishore (Bablu), Krishan Singh, Neelam Singh and Vijay Kumar. The bouts were officiated by Sat Paul Verma, Lochan Singh, Om Parkash Verma and others.
