JAMMU, Feb 13: The Jammu & Kashmir Ranji Trophy team was welcomed with great enthusiasm upon their return to Jammu following their impressive performance in the tournament. The players were greeted with garlands by the JKCA welcome committee, including Vidya Bhaskar, Chairman of the Senior Men’s Selection Committee, Dhruv Mahajan and Manish Angral, as they arrived at the airport.
At the JKCA Complex, GGM Science College, the team was received in a lively atmosphere, with drum beats adding to the celebratory mood. Brigadier Anil Gupta, Member Administration JKCA, along with Vivek Khajuria and other JKCA staff members were present to welcome the team.
Although the team narrowly missed qualifying for the semi-finals, there was no shortage of pride in their hard-fought journey. Brig. Anil Gupta motivated the players, urging them to focus on the future and forget past disappointments. “Winning or losing is part of the game. What matters is the team’s spirit and determination,” he said.
A felicitation ceremony is scheduled for Friday, 14th February, at the JKCA Complex, to honour the team’s exceptional performance.
