HP outplays J&K by 34 runs

JAMMU, Nov 24: Himachal Pradesh got the better of Jammu and Kashmir in a close contest by 34 runs in the ongoing Men’s U-25 State A Trophy at NFC Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad today.
Earlier, J&K skipper Henan Nazir won the toss and put Himachal Pradesh into bat.
Batting first, Himachal Pradesh scored a good total of 249 runs in 50 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. SG Arora top scored with 69 runs off 65 balls, while MA Sharma contributed 51 off 64 balls and Vaibhav Sharma made 37 runs off 41 balls.
For J&K, Lone Nasir Muzaffar bagged 3 wickets, while Sahil Lotra took 2 wickets. Rasikh Salaam and Sunil Kumar claimed one wicket each.
In reply, J&K managed to score 215 runs in 41.4 overs, thus lost the match by 34 runs. Dikshant Kundal top scored with 57 runs off 68 balls, while skipper Henan Nazir and Lone Nasir Muzaffar contributed 32 runs each, while Arya Suvansh Thakur chipped in with 29 runs off 25 balls.
For Himachal Pradesh, skipper AA Walia captured 4 important, wickets while Arpit A Guleria, NK Kanwar and Raghav R Bali bagged 2 wickets each.
The Jammu and Kashmir team is being accompanied by Sarabjeet Singh, Shafqat Malik, Hilal Ahmed, Veemarsh Kaw, Huwaid Hamid, Haseeb Rehman, Guru Partap Singh and Sahil Magotra as officials.
