5 fencers get visa to Hungary after Dr Jitendra’s intervention

JAMMU, Jan 4: After the timely intervention of Union Minister in Prime Minister’s Office Dr Jitendra Singh, five fencers from the Jammu and Kashmir, who were running from pillar to post, were issued Visa to Hungary on a very short notice where they will be participating in the Junior Sabre World Cup.
Taking cognizance of the video going viral on the social media regarding issuance of Visa to the fencers, the PMO on the directions of the Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh contacted the concerned for addressing the concern.
Notably, five fencers from Jammu and Kashmir have been selected for Junior Sabre World Cup to be held at Budapest, Hungary from January 7 to 8.
“These innocent boys were so misguided that nobody in Jammu advised them even to fill the Visa form. On the contrary, they were referred to some professional travel agent,” Dr Jitendra Singh said.
He said, “Our office got their Visa forms filled and sought the intervention of the Ministry of External Affairs to provide Visa at a very short notice.”
“They will leave for Hungry tomorrow early morning. We shall keep a track of their further journey as well and provide whatever assistance possible. Our duty is to enable the youth talent to get it’s due,” Dr Singh stated.
The fencers leaving for Hungary are Mayank Sharma, Lakshya Sharma and Suryansh Sharma (Boys section), Shreya Gupta and Kritarthi Kotwal (Girls category).
