JAMMU, Aug 4: The 40th Jammu District Badminton Championships-2025, organized by the Jammu City & District Badminton Association, is currently being held at the Indoor Sports Complex, M.A. Stadium, Jammu, from August 1 to 5.
The tournament is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. O.D. Sharma (Vice President, Badminton Association of India). Due to ongoing Independence Day arrangements, the tournament will conclude on August 5, with the prize distribution ceremony scheduled at 4 PM at the Badminton Hall, MA Stadium.
In today’s key matches, Paavni defeated Shranya Sharma in the Girls Singles Under-15 final with a commanding score of 21-12, 21-07, while Ruhani outplayed Aliza Fatima in the Girls Singles Under-11 final by 21-19, 21-16. In a close Boys Singles Under-13 match, Vivaan Chib overcame Utkarsh after dropping the first game, with a final score of 20-22, 21-10, 21-14. Gopesh Singh triumphed over Shivansh Panotra in the Boys Singles Under-17 final by 21-15, 24-22, and in Girls Singles Under-13, Akshini Manhas defeated Tejaswini Pandho convincingly by 21-13, 21-14.
