JAMMU, Aug 30: The 2nd UTT J&K UT Table Tennis Ranking Championships 2025 culminated with exciting action as Maanay Mansotra clinched the Men’s Singles title and Myrah Dewan emerged as the Women’s Singles champion. In a thrilling final, Maanay defeated Akash Sharma by 3-1, while Myrah triumphed over Arushika Dabar by 3-2 in the Women’s final. The Men’s final was closely contested, with Maanay securing the title with a 3-2 victory. Earlier in the Men’s semifinals, Maanay beat Amit Badyal by 3-1 and Akash overcame Pratham Raina by 3-2.
While the results in different categories were, Syrah Dewan won the Hops Girls (Under 11) title, with Rithanya as the runner-up, while Akshaj Garg triumphed in the Hops Boys (Under 11) event, defeating Satvik Nischal. In the Cadet Boys (Under 13), Saiyam Nischal emerged victorious, with Advik Garg as the runner-up, while Alena Arora claimed the Cadet Girls (Under 13) title, defeating Bhavin Kour. Saiyam Nischal also won the Sub Junior Boys (Under 15) event, with Samar Dev Bansal as the runner-up. Myrah Dewan secured the Sub Junior Girls (Under 15) title, defeating Srishti Kapoor. Samarth Nischal won both the Junior Boys (Under 17) and (Under 19) titles, while Myrah Dewan clinched the Junior Girls (Under 19) title. Maanay Mansotra won the Men’s Singles, and Myrah Dewan triumphed in the Women’s Singles.
The event was organized by Jammu District Table Tennis Association under the aegis of J&K Table Tennis Association and J&K Sports Council, as part of the “My Youth My Pride” initiative.
Rajeev Sharma, former Member J&K Sports Council was the chief guest while, Satpal Singh (Divisional Sports Officer), Satbir Singh, Ajay Sharma, Suraj Bhan, Arshi Nad (Manager, Indoor Sports Complex), Saleem Bandey, Maninder Singh, Rajan Sharma, Meenu Rajesh, Vasu Dewan, Narinder Singh, Gurvinder Singh (NIS Coach), Asad Sharma (NIS Coach) and Naveen Nischal were also present on the occasion.
