JAMMU, Mar 30: 2nd UT level Yoga Championship, organised by J&K Yoga Association under the aegis of J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association, concluded at New Indoor Complex MA Stadium, here today.
About 100 boys and girls from Jammu, Udhampur, Reasi, Samba, Rajouri and Poonch district participated in this UT level Championship which was declared open president of J&K Olympic Association, Prof Ashutosh Sharma in presence of Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer Jammu.
Dushyant Sharma secretary general of J&K Olympic Association was the chief guest of the closing ceremony, whereas Ashwani Katoch was the guest of honour. They awarded winners and runner-ups players.
In boys (8-10 yrs), Jameel Rashi, Harsh Thakur and Anurag Khajuria stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, whereas in 10-12 yrs, Sidharth Abrol, Vansh Verma and Vinayak clinched top three positions and in 12-14 yrs, Rohit Thakur, Ritish Rajput and Bhushan Verma bagged top three positions besides in 14-16 yrs, Surinder Rajput, Himanshu Verma and Raghav Saini won top three positions and in 16-18 yrs, Abhishek Sharma, Raj Kumar and Akash Sharma secured first three places respectively.
In girls (8-10 yrs), Shehnaz Choudhary, Mahi Sharma and Sonakshi Katoch stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, whereas in 10-12 yrs, Pratima Sharma, Samriti Thakur and Kajal Devi won first three positions, and in 12-14 yrs, Soomya Gupta, Aakrati Sharma and Renu Devi clinched first three places besides in 14-16 yrs, top three spots were clinched by Anu Devi, Paushi Patil and Mobina and in 16-18 yrs, Piyush Sharma and Vanshika Arora clinched first two places respectively.
