SONAMARG, Feb 25: The 2nd Sky Snow Championship, organized by the J&K Skyrunning Association was held at Nilgrath Sonamarg. The high-altitude snow running event saw 46 athletes from across J&K who participated in an 11 km course that included both upward and downward runs over snow-covered mountains.
The top three winners were Arif Narwari, Soleh Mustaqeem and Ashiq Haji, who secured the podium positions. The valedictory function was held at Kullan Sonamarg, was attended by Bashir Ahmad Wani, Secretary of the J&K Skyrunning Association, along with Dr. Anwar Hussain Nagoo, President of Foreshore Athletes and several veteran athletes. The association, affiliated with the International Skyrunning Federation through the Skyrunning Association of India, has previously organized two national Skyrunning Championships.
