JAMMU, Oct 10: The first-ever Jammu BSF Marathon 2025, organized by the Frontier Headquarters BSF Jammu, will take place on November 9 at the BSF Campus, Paloura, Jammu. The marathon features four race categories – 42 km, 21 km, 10 km and 5 km – and is expected to attract participants from border areas of Jammu, neighbouring states and across India.
A curtain-raiser press conference was held today at Paloura Camp, presided over by Shashank Anand, Inspector General, BSF Jammu. He highlighted that the marathon promotes fitness, unity and national pride, in line with the Fit India and Khelo India initiatives, and aims to foster stronger bonds between border communities and the nation.
The official JBM 2025 logo was also unveiled. To build momentum, Promo Runs are being conducted across Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch. Online registration began on October 10 via Runizen. Entry is free; participants will receive T-shirts and finisher medals. Winners will receive cash prizes: Rs 1, 50,000 (42 km), Rs 75,000 (21 km) and Rs 50,000 (10 km).
