JAMMU, Nov 26: 157 TA Army and Zorawar Club Satwari registered wins in the ongoing 1st Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna Memorial Hockey Tournament, being held under the aegis of Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here.
In the first match, Army defeated Jath Kapoor Singh Hockey Club by four goals to two (4-2). For Army, Lakhvinder Singh scored goal in 7th minute, Parvinder Singh in 15th minute and Vikram Singh in 62nd minute, while another goal which was netted in the very first minute of the match was a self goal. Gurpreet Singh and Rajinder Singh scored goals for Jath Club in 49th and 53rd minute respectively.
Meanwhile, in another match, Zorawar Club Satwari defeated Bagh Baian Club by five goals to two (5-2). Rakesh Vaid, Harsh Vaid, Jasvinder Singh, Tanvir Singh and Baldev Singh netted goals for Zorawar Club in 3rd, 14th, 15th, 22nd and 42nd minute respectively, while for Bagh Baian, Gurdeep Singh and Swastic Bhat scored goals in 40th and 53rd minute respectively.
The matches were officiated by SP Singh, Iqbal Singh, Mandeep Singh, Jagjeet Singh, JS Reen, Indpal Singh, Charanjit Singh, Ravinder Singh, MS Reen and GS Bakshi.
Sittu Club Simbal Camp will take on Singh Club Bandu Rakh, while Guru Nanak Hockey Club will meet Lachipura Kathua tomorrow at the same venue.
