19th J&K State Kyorugi/ Poomsae Taekwondo C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Mar 31: District Jammu Taekwondo Association organized “19th J&K State (Kyorugi/ Poomsae) Taekwondo Championship 2016-17”, which concluded at Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Parade, here today.
The Championship was held under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association and Taekwondo Federation of India, recognized by Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association, India Olympics Association, Ministry of Youth affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.
Around 300 players/officials are participating in this Championship and players from the whole Jammu District showcased their skills.
The Chief Guest of the Closing ceremony was  Choudhary Lal, Singh Forest Minister, who while speaking on the occasion congratulated all the participants, Coaches and Organizers for conducting such a big event and also assured all possible help to Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association headed by PC Sharma to promote the Taekwondo game in the State of J&K.
Guest of honour  was Ved Prakash Sharma, President Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha and  PC Sharma, President  JKTA
The Special Guests included Dr Javed, Shiv Ram Sharma, Sat Pal Sharma, Jagan Nath Sharma, Subash Shastri, Vivek Suri, Vikas Abrol, Ramesh Chander Sharma (Manager  Brahman Sabha),DN Pangotra Chairman, Organizing Committee and Joint Secretary TFI, Anuj Sharma, Organizing Secretary JKTA and Gurinder Rakwal Convener.
The technical team was headed by Atul Pangotra, NIS(International Referee) with his team of officials including Sarabjeet Singh (Chandigarh), Peeti Rana (Chandigarh), Sujata (Chandigarh),Mukta Gupta, Narinder Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Rajan Jamwal, Pooja Sharma, Sourav Sharma ,Bazala Mushtaq, Arvind Satti and Nitish Anand.
Jammu District emerged overall Championship, while District Budgam bagged second spot and the third place went to District Srinagar.
