JAMMU, Nov 5: RM Public School (RMPS) celebrated its 3rd Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Function amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation on the theme “Mother- an Ocean of Love” at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, here today.
Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks was the chief guest, while Ramesh Arora, Member of Legislative Council presided over the function.
Yudhvir Sethi, Sr. Vice President, BJP J&K State and Prof Jia Kotwal, Chairman J&K Private Schools Association were the guests of honour.
Ravinder Singh, Director, School Education and a galaxy of other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, presiding guest and other dignitaries in presence of chairman Rameshwar Mengi and Trustee Rita Mengi. This entailed the bouquet presentation and presentation of momentous.
This was followed by the Ganesh Vandana in classical and free style dance form to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The dance was choreographed by Ajay Kumar and assisted by Chandan and Shilpa.
Rita Mengi (Trustee RMPS) formally welcomed the guests, while Principal Ravinder Kour presented the Annual Report for the year 2016-17.
Musical extravaganza based on the theme ‘Ma’ included a welcome song by Junior students, which was choreographed by Varun, Jasdeep Kour and Disha Sharma, a Play-theme choreographed by Rashmi and Ajay.
The programme was coordinated by Harsh, Ridhm, Harshita, Haider and Diwam.
While addressing the gathering, the chief guest Mrs. Sethi congratulated the participants and prize-winners for their good show.
