SRINAGAR, Jan 15: In order to hone the talent of the budding youth, Police today organized a Volleyball tournament under its civic action program in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A police spokesman said a volleyball tournament was organized by Police today at Kangan area of Ganderbal which was inaugurated by SSP Ganderbal, Fayaz Ahmad Lone.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP highlighted the importance of sports in harnessing the talent of budding youth and said such sports activities will continue in future and J&K Police will continue to groom local talent.
He further added that eight teams from Kangan are participating in the tournament and it will be played on knockout basis. The winners will play against the finalist from Gund from where the teams will move on to district level.
The first match of the tournament was played between Kangan-A and Cherwan Warriors which was won by Kangan-A.
