JAMMU, Nov 8: As many as 40 Golfers teed off for the Diwali Golf Cup organized by the Jammu Tawi Golfer Association in association with the Golfers of the Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC) at the lush green lawns of Sidhra Golf Course.
The event was a first of its kind in the Sidhra Golf Course where the members came together to arrange and organize the event in an efforts to promote the Golf in the region.
Brigadier Om Parkash Gupta emerged winner of the tournament with maximum pars while Purshotam Singh was runner up. The longest drive of 249 yards was fired by Dr Danish Khan while Bharat Bhushan Sharma (MD) was nearest to pin by 13 feets, Brigadier while Akash Bhola punched maximum birdie.
The winners under various categories were awarded. The event was organized by Bhupesh Gupta, Er S Pathania, Bharat Bhushan Sharma and SS Jamwal.
On the request of the members of the Jammu Tawi Golf Club, it was decided to hold such type of events on a regular basis.
