JAMMU, May 4: In the ongoing Jammu division selection chess events here at Ace chess academy, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Meenal Gupta won women open event, thus winning all the three events held so far including Under-19, Under-15 and senior women.
In senior women, second place went to Arushi Kotwal while third position went to Aditi Sharma and Shivangi Raina got 4th position.
In Boys U-11 age category, Vansh Mahajan got 1st position, second place went to Ayush Gupta third place went to Divay Jain while Divyam Gupta got 4th place.
Angelima Singh was declared winner in girls U-11 age category. Sumit Grover officiated all the matches, while the matches were played under the supervision of president All J&K Chess Association, Atul Kumar Gupta.
The matches were played as per FIDE Laws of chess.
Under-17 age category events will be played tomorrow at same venue.
