PATIALA, Dec 13: Outplaying Kashmir University convincingly by in the quarterfinal, University of Jammu sealed berth in the last four stage of the ongoing All India Vice-Chancellor’s T20 Cricket Cup, being played, here.
Earlier, batting first, University of Jammu scored a modest total of 104 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Vishal Sudan top scored with 35 runs.
In reply, Kashmir University scored a paltry total of 87 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 17 runs.
Rajesh Salhotra and Dr. Dauood claimed two wickets each for University of Jammu. Dr Dauood was adjudged as the man of the match.
Sham Lal Sharma, Manager and Sanjeev Chadha, Assistant Manager congratulated the team.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu lauded the efforts of the team for this achievement.
It is pertinent to mention here that the University of Jammu’s Employees Team has been blossoming in this prestigious tournament continuously for last five years.
