J&K Tenshinkan Karate Do team wins 15 medals in SUKAI Cup

JAMMU, Oct 17: Jammu and Kashmir Tenshinkan Karate Do team won 15medals, with 5 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze in SUKAI Cup 2018 All India Open Karate Championship held at Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, recently.
The Championship was organised by Shotoryu Unique Karate Association of India, recognised by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India.
The Karatekas drawn from various States of the Country participated in Sub Junior, Junior, Cadet and Senior events.
The team was led by S Sukhbir Singh as manager and Aruna Sharma as coach.
The gold medal winners included Yashwardhan Singh, Avneet Kour, Honey Sharma, Razah Ahmed and Tanish Kumar, while the silver medals went to Harpreet Singh, Akshit Choudhary, Palak, Anisha Devi, Dipti, Nandani Sharma and Tanmay Johal and the bronze medals were bagged by Ananya Gupta, Shivani Kumari and Jantin.
The medals and certificates were presented to the winners by Hanshi Bharat Sharma, General Secretary Karate Association of India and other dignitaries, while Dr Amit Vaid, President J&K Tenshinkan Karate Do Association lauded the efforts of the players for this achievement.
