Heritage School celebrates Annual Sports Day

JAMMU, Nov 28:  Heritage school wore a festive look as it celebrated its two Annual Sports Meet which concluded today with boundless energy and unbridled enthusiasm.
The day’s events started with the well synchronized March Past by the four Houses – Legacy, Tradition, Culture and Dignity followed by the Oath taking ceremony conducted by the school Sports Captain Master Nirbhayjeet Singh.
The sports meet was declared open by the Principal, Jagadish Singh Dhami after lighting of the Sports Torch.
Highlight of the day was the Relay race which is a much anticipated event as it is not only an Inter-House Event but it also tests the team spirit and co-ordination among students. 1st phase of the sports day culminated with the Principal felicitating the winners of various races.
During the second day, it was the turn of the Junior School to display their talent and sportsmanship on the field.
The chief guest on the occasion was Simrandeep Singh,  Deputy Commissioner Jammu and Uttam Chand, SSP Jammu was the guest of honour. The other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Aijaz Khan (MLA),  D K Manyal (MLA), Smita Sethi (Director Education Jammu), Tsetan Namgyal and Manya Gupta.
The prize winners included Divyanshu Dhar, Lakshay Anand, Suryansh Slathia, Shreya Sharma, Aayushi Parmar,Aashna Sharma,Ojasvi Sharma,Tanvi Raina,Shivam Jain,Rupanshu Soi, Mridhul Sadhu and Sidhant Thapa.
The students of class IX  –  Arnav Sharma, Agrim Babbar, Anubhav Verma, Mrinal Raina, Mehak Gupta, Ishita Sharma, Ariha Dabgotra, Sonal Jasrotia, Muskan Gupta, Ishan Koul, Aadhar Gupta and Sahibdeep Singh  who had secured 90% and above for three consecutive years were decorated with ‘golden crests’by the guest of honour Uttam Chand (SSP, Jammu).
The esteemed chief guest Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu felicitated Divyanshu Saini, Shreya Gupta, and Parikshit Jamwal of class X for their consistent performance of four consecutive years in academics. Akshita Gupta an alumini of the school was awarded. The Best Sportsperson of the Year Trophy was awarded to Tamana Kalsi of class IX.
