District Jammu Inter-School Competition concludes

JAMMU, Apr 18: District Level Inter-School Competiti-ons of District Jammu  in the disciplines of Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis and Carrom Under-14 and Under-17 years boys concluded at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
The Competitions were organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu, under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports, Jammu and under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO, Jammu.
In Chess Under-17 boys final, Amanjot Singh of APS Miran Sahib beat Keshav of Maharishi Vidya Mandir.
The matches were officiated by Raman Kumar and Nitin Sethi.
In Badminton Under-14 boys final, Vidhan defeated Tushar in singles event, while Vidhan and Abhay got better of Tushar and Dhrub, while in Badminton Under-17 boys final, BSF Paloura drubbed SOS by 2-0 sets. In singles, Sidhant of BSF Paloura trounced Vineet of SOS, while in doubles, Sidhant and Aman outplayed Vineet and Ayuesh.
In Carrom, Under-17 boys doubles final, GHS Channi Himmat beat APS Domana. Tanish and Rohit prevailed over Shubam and Tarun, while in Carrom Under-17 boys singles final, Manmohit Singh of BSF Paloura beat Aditya Kumar of APS Domana.
In Carrom, Under-14 boys double final, Aqib Mustaq and Preet Singh of APS Sunjwan defeated Vishwas and Akshay of SOS.
The matches were officiated by Kamal Singh, Seema Mehra and Mayank Jain.
In Table Tennis Under-14 boys final, Jodhamal Public School trounced KC Public School by 3-1 sets, while in Table Tennis Under-17 boys final, KC Public School beat GD Goenka by 3-2 sets.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep, Gourav Sharma, Neeru Jabalia and Rainder Singh.
Meanwhile, the Inter-School District Level Competitions of District Jammu in the disciplines of Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis and Carrom Under-14 and Under-17 years girls will commence from tomorrow at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, Jammu.
