JAMMU, Oct 15: APS BD Bari lifted the winner’s trophy, whereas APS Kaluchak clinched runner-up trophy in Inter Army Public Schools (Cluster-1) Handball Tournament, held here today.
Shiva Charak of APS BD Bari was declared as Best Player of the tournament.
On the concluding day, the chief guest was Brig Deep Bhagat, Chairman APS BD Bari, while other officers were also present.
The final match was played between APS BD Bari and APS Kaluchak in which former emerged winner by 20-17.
Earlier, after tough competition four teams–APS BD Bari, APS Kaluchak, APS Damana and APS Jammu Cantt had qualified for semifinals. The first semifinal match was played between APS BD Bari and APS Jammu Cantt in which former registered win by 22-16. The second semifinal match was played between APS Kaluchak and APS Damana in which former emerged winner by 17-12.
Brig Deep Bhagat, Chairman APS BD Bari distributed the trophies and certificates among the players. He stressed on the importance of sports and games in school curriculum.
