Administrators seek suggestions on draft MCA constitution

Mumbai, Apr 12:
Retired judges H L Gokhale and V M Kanade, who have taken over as administrators of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), have called a meeting of its members on April 25.
A senior MCA official said the draft constitution prepared by the cricket body would be discussed at the meeting.
“After taking charge yesterday, the two administrators have invited all members on April 25 to get their suggestions on the draft MCA constitution. The draft has incorporated the Lodha panel reforms (mandated by the Supreme Court),” he said.
The administrators would take a call on final shape of the constitution after getting feedback from MCA members, he said.
Justice Gokhale, a retired Supreme Court judge, and Justice Kanade, a retired Bombay High Court judge, took charge as MCA administrators last evening following their appointment by the Bombay High Court.
Nadeem Memon, representing a club affiliated to the MCA, had approached the high court alleging that the city cricket body was delaying implementation of the Lodha panel reforms.(PTI)
