JAMMU, Jan 17: KV Bantalab celebrated its grand Inaugural Ceremony of its Additional Block, here today. Avinash Dikshit, Commissioner KVS, New Delhi was the chief guest on the occasion, while Arun kumar, DIG-GC- CRPF-BTB, Chairman VMC, was the guest of honour.
A V L J Rao, DC-KVS-JR, AS Gill, AC-KVS-JR, VMC members, Parents and other officials were also present on the occasion.
The chief guest was welcomed with much fanfare amidst the beats of drums and Vedic Mantras along with traditional welcome rituals.
The event opened with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries in Maa Saraswati temple present in Vidyalaya premises and unveiling the plaque followed by the Saraswati Vandana.
A crisp cultural programme was also presented on the occasion, which enthralled everyone present there. V Santhosh Kumar, Principal KV BTB passionately presented the welcome address and highlighted the achievements of the Vidyalaya.
The chief guest in his address complimented the Principal, staff and students for their efforts and said that KVS always deems its prime duty to provide its students with all the support with regard to infrastructure.
