DODA, June 26: Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Gadi registered convincing win over Chiralla Cricket Club (CCC) by 24 runs in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda with the support of District Administration and District Police Doda.
Earlier batting first after winning the toss, YSCC Gadi scored a modest total of 117 runs in 18.2 overs. Dawood top scored with 41 runs while Yasir Bab contributed 21 runs to the total. From the bowling side, Sandeep Singh was pick of the bowlers, who took 5wickets while Amit Manhas claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Chiralla Cricket Club managed to score only 93 runs in 19.1 overs, thus lost the match by 24 runs. Amit Rajan was the highest scorer who scored 37 runs while Azhar Malik contributed 9 runs to the total. From bowling side, Bilal Ahmed and Zakir Hussain shared 2 wickets each while Shabir Baba and Dawood scalped 2 and 1 wickets respectively. Dawood of Young Star Cricket Club Gadi team was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance who was given prize by Ashok Shan along with Sr Cricketer Adil Lone.
