BHADERWAH, Dec 1: ‘Sangam’ a three day Youth Festival being organized by Bhaderwah Campus of the University of Jammu in collaboration with 4 Rastryia Rifles (Bihar) under the aegis of CIF(Delta) under “Op Sadhbhavana” was inaugurated here this morning.
The mega event was inaugurated by Prof R D Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, in the presence of Brig. SPS Parhar Commander 4 Sector RR, Rector Bhaderwah Campus, Prof. GM Bhat , Col AL Kadiyan deputy Commander 4 Sector RR , Col. Ravi Kumar Gargotra CO 4RR besides of large number of Civil and Military dignitaries SDM, Bhadarwah, ASP Bhdarwah, persons from Civil Administration, Police Department, CRPF, Prominent Citizens of Bhadarwah, Principals and Teachers of Colleges/Schools.
Professor R D Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, who in his address, praised the Armed Forces for encouraging such constructive activities in the region which help in diverting the energies of the youth in proper direction thus helping in weaning them away from anti-social activities.
Rector Bhaderwah Campus, Prof GM Bhat in his address thanked the 4RR for organising this grand event with this Campus.
Maj Raman Tiwari, 2IC 4RR presented vote of thanks.
A total of thirty different competitions viz Debate, Sketching, Clay Modelling, Photography, Athletics, Chess, Badminton for girls, Quiz, Painting, Marathon, Volleyball and Cricket etc will be conducted during the three days of Youth Festival.
