JAMMU, Jan 9: Young Hero’s and Kanwal Sports Anantnag registered wins over their rivals in the ongoing 11th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, organized by All J&K Christian Welfare Association, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association 2017-18 at GGM Science College, here.
Young Hero’s defeated Jammu Sports Football Club via tie-breaker by five goals to four (5-4).
Both the teams played goalless draw in the full time. Young Hero’s FC converted 5 penalties into the goals while Jammu Sports FC converted 4 goals.
In another match, Kanwal Sports Anantnag registered a solitary goal win over Young Rovers Jammu in an exciting contest.
Zahid Ramzan scored the goal for In Kanwal Sports Anantnag 37th minute.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Ricky Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Moon Stephen, Romesh Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Dinesh.
Sanjay Kumar from Chenab Valley Power Project was the special guest, while SM Gill, Ex. MLC, Sheikh Mehmood, President Jammu District Football Association, David Masih, Featus Sotra, Rajesh Kumar, Harbans Lal, Yousuf Don, Charan Dass and Narinder Gupta were present on the occasion.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Churchill Brothers will take on Engineer XI, while SRTC will face Titan Anantnag.
