UDHAMPUR, May 15: On the third day of ongoing Zonal Level Inter School competitions by the Department of Youth Services & Sports Zone Chenani, competitions were conducted today in the disciplines of Yoga, Badminton for U-14 years and U-17 years Boys/Girls, and in Athletics for U-14 & U-17 years.
Zonal Physical Education Officer Chenani, Jyoti Rani interacted with the participants and extended his best wishes to them. A total of 243 participations witnessed in three games (Yoga, Badminton and Athletics) from U-14 and U-17 years Boys age category from 30 different schools of zone Chenani.
In Athletics U-14 years Girls Final, Archana Devi from MS Kulakh stood 1st in 100 m event, Bandana Devi from GMS Bant stood 1st in 200 meter event, Rubia Anjum from HS Nagulta stood 1stin 400 m event, Taaz Kousar from MS Gujad stood 1st in 600 m event, Shafia Bano from GMS Sudhmahadev stood 1st in Shotput, Anjana Devi from MS Kulakh stood 1st in long Jump and Sakshi Devi from GHS Chenani stood 1st in High Jump.
In U-17 Girls Final of Athletics, Laxmi Devi from HS Nagulta stood 1st in 100 meter, Sunali Devi from HS Nagulta stood 1st in 200 meter, Rubia Akhter from GHS Chenani stood 1st in 400 meter, Rubi Sharma from HS Nagulta stood 1st in 800 m, Mamta Devi from GHS Chenani stood 1st in Shotput, Rubia Akhter from GHS Chenani stood 1st in Long Jump and Ulfat Bano from GHS Chenani stood 1st in High Jump.
Manish Singh from MS Baishty stood first in Yoga U-14 Boys, Mohd Imran from HS Samroli stood 1st in Yoga U-17 Boys while Sunali Devi from MS Gujad stood first in Yoga U-14 Girls Shruti Devi of HSS Kud stood 1st in Yoga U-17 Girls.
In Badminton U-14 Girls, Benakshi of HSS Chenani won Final in Singles whereas Kajal Sharma & Shriya Sharma won Final in Doubles. In Badminton U-17 Girls, Manisha from GHS Chenani won Final in Singles whereas Rubi of HS Nagulta & Sakshi of HS Kither Chirdi won Final of Doubles.
In Badminton U-14 Boys, Mohd Wasim of CMS Chenani won Final in Singles whereas Haryan Sharma & Aditya Singh won Final in Doubles. In Badminton U-17 Boys, Manish Kumar from HSS Dhanas won Final in Singles whereas Sahil Kumar & Amit Singh of CMS Chenani won Final of Doubles.
All the matches were officiated by the technical experts of the Department of Youth Services & Sports Zone, Chenani.
