JAMMU, May 8: The Department of Civil Engineering at Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology organised an informative session in collaboration with Birla UltraTech Cement Pvt. Ltd. for B.Tech Civil Engineering students regarding the national-level competition “Pan India Quiz – India Next Stimulus.”
The programme began with a welcome address by Rajnish Magotra, Head of the Civil Engineering Department. Representatives from UltraTech Cement, Arvind Dogra, Technical Incharge and Sajan Dutta, Technical Executive, interacted with students and shared insights about the company’s profile, operations and global presence.
The speakers explained the structure of the competition, including campus, zonal and national rounds, along with details about certification, prize money and career opportunities. They also informed students about possible campus placement opportunities in the future.
After the interaction session, the first round of the quiz competition was conducted on the campus with enthusiastic participation from students of Civil Engineering.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Shivam Sharma, while the programme was coordinated by Nishant Kumar. Chairman Vidhi S Singh Jamwal, Managing Director Renu Bangroo, Director Prof (Dr) Sanjeev Singh and Dean Academics Dinesh Gupta appreciated the department for organising the academic-industry interaction for students.
